I just discovered Mini Etsy's. They are located at the bottom left of your etsy site. It give you the code to post your etsy site on other sites. Comes in real handy for getting the word out. Just check my page here on OSM. You will see an example of what you can do with it.

Tips for jewelry artists From A CUSTOMER!
Last week I wrote a couple of posts about what I look for when shopping Etsy for earrings http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5684069 and necklaces http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5685694

Those posts seemed to be well received and a couple of you asked that I also comment on bracelets.

Bracelets are a toughy for me. Even though I have lost 20 pounds I'm still a bit on the short and pudgy side so I still find that I'm not in love with my wrists. I'm not sure if I should call attention to them with big ol' chunky pieces or if I should try to diminish them with light and delicate ones. So because I don't know which is best I tend to just skip bracelets entirely.

I'll buy earrings to feel pretty and sometimes necklaces but my inability to decide on a type of bracelet keeps my money in my wallet. And that is such a shame too because I've seen some beauties here on Etsy.

I did wear bracelets when I was younger and I found that one of the things that drove me nuts was a bracelet that was heavier on one side than the other. Inevitably the heavy side would always hang towards the bottom which I found to be a constant annoyance.

So when I've looked at bracelets on Etsy the first thing I look for in a bracelet is balance. Do the heavier pieces balance out the bracelet so that it'll hang evenly? Notice I did not say symmetry. The bracelet does not have to be exactly the same on both sides as long as the weight is evenly distributed.

I tend to like looser bracelets rather than fitted ones. This means I tend to have a problem similar to that of picking out the right necklace: how long should it be? I don't want it to slip off but I don't want it to squeeze my wrist too tightly.

If I could find a bracelet I loved that looked and felt good on me I'd love to wear a matching pair of earrings with it. Probably not a necklace though. But it seems like just enough accessories to wear the matching earrings and bracelet.

Bracelets should be more popular than ever now that folks rarely wear watches because they've got the time on their cell phones. And I want to see what they look like on the someone's wrist. So in this case I prefer a live model and I'd love to know if she has delight, medium, or big wrists. That would really help me figure out what it will look like on me.

Bracelets are another area where we shoppers need the help of you jewelers. We need you to tell us who your bracelet would look good on and why. Give us the reasons why your bracelet will be the perfect fashion statement.

I already belong to etsy. I am www.artbymarilyn.net looped to www.etsy.com But I certainly am glad you are trying to be totally supportive of me. It is kind of you and much needed by me.
