Tell everyone who supports you in your business endeavor about supplies you are always needing. My friends and family have been very helpful in finding deals I would have missed out on that end up saving me a lot of money. But if you don't tell them, they won't know what to watch for.

Hello, XMAS is just around the corner and it's time to bee seen and promote and send out links everywhere, but it's a lot of work and it takes up a lot of your time.
I'm presently making my 2009 Women-Prenuer-Galore XMAS ''Buy Handmade'' Shopping Guide .

I have been using this and it seriously has helped traffic to my stores. You get these cool header ads that pop up on other sites, they are free, and everytime someone else uses header ads, you get twice as many more ads! Ooh, lace gloves, I like that idea! I sort of was thinking that way with the batik fabric -- people would always tell it was one of _my_ pieces -- but the jewelry never sold much, so I finally said to heck with it. I still use the fabric as a background for my bath and body stuff though.

Yeah, the black velvet is SO reflective, it's a mess! Also, folks should be aware that branding is always a great thing! I used to do flowers for my "AA" etsy shop pics, untill a lady asked me if a flower was a part of the jewelry item! When I opened my "VF" etsy shop, I decided on lace gloves as my branding theme! I don't think anyone will mistake my gloves as a part of any of my jewelry! LOL!

Thanks for the tips Aprilee! Yeah, black is tricky to photograph -- I have a black cat, see, which is how I know this. :)

I've wound up using some of my stash of batik fabrics for photographing my jewelry -- I have enough different colours that I can usually find one that works with whatever piece I'm using.

I made a simple white necklace display (for pics) out of white posterboard! ALSO, do NOT buy a BLACK display velvet if you will be using it for pics for an online shop! GET WHITE! The black is TERRIBLE in pics & I never even use my flash!
