Hmmmmmmm..I just realized that although I've been commenting in this thread, I've never "shared"! I'll go now! I am Aprilee (an Admin here). I have two brothers. My little brother "Chetty" (his name is "Chester"), is 33 years-old. He works for Verizon & lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. I have an older brother, "Harvey", he would be 52 September 4th. He passed about 3 years ago after a lengthy illness (brain cancer). I am the only girl. I grew-up in a small town across the (Susquehanna) river (here in Maryland). I have lived (briefly) in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida. I actually was fortunate enough to spend a week in the island of Curacao in the Carribean. And, I like some odd-eats! I LOVE frog legs, boiled peanuts, goat, alligator & snake. I used to be an avid hunter & have "taken" deer, wild boar, geese, dove, squirrel. I was the Director of Hunting & Fishing at Aberdeen Proving Ground (a military installation). Hunting "graced" me with Lymes Disease & I really haven't had the "heart" to hunt for many years. I am divorced & live with my Ma. I am generally happy & goofey & don't drink, smoke, or do drugs! I care about everyone, I don't have to "know" them! An employer once discribed me as "Aprilee never meets a stranger", and that pretty-much says it all!

Hi there. I'm fairly new here, I sell Avon.

I was born in Miami, FL where I lived until I was 30 when my ex and I moved to Acworth, GA (a place that I truly loved). There wasn't any work for my ex there so we moved to Tallahassee, FL in 1990 and have lived here ever since. I have grown to love Tallahassee over the years. I am 46 and I have four sons, ages 17, 20, 25 and 29, and one grandson who is 16 months old. I live with my fiance Allen, we have one dog and one cat. I love animals, especially horses. I like reading (psycho-thrillers, true crime and comedies), cross-stitching, watching movies (again, psycho-thrillers, true crime and comedies but I also like drama and a good love story), being outdoors and being lazy on Sundays. I don't let things get me down, I remain positive no matter what.

I love meeting new people and learning about them and the things they do that is why I am a member of this site. It is a great place to meet new folks and everyone is so nice.

Hi, Barbara! Welcome! I used to live in Acworth when I first moved to Ga. I moved to the North Ga. mountains after I got married. Acworth has grown so much. When I do get a chance to get out that way, I am amazed at how much its changed.
You and I have alot in common. I am an animal lover, too. I own a pet shop, I like reading the same stuff you do and the same type of movies. I am also very positive person.

I am have been married for 15 years. I live in NJ. I have a 7 yr. old son with Autism. I work out of my home. Sometimes I find it hard to keep up with everything.

Very excited to be here! I just found out about the Online Shopping Mall today and had to join. I am a mother of 2 young children and I work 3-4 part-time jobs at a time with very little child care. Because of my hectic schedule, I need some "me time". I turned my hobby into a shop on Etsy in order to justify spending that time on my hobby. (Probably mostly to justify my break from everything to my husband.) It has worked out and I am loving it!

I love to find older quality small home decor items that are outdated and need some renewing or upcycling. I redo them in shabby chic style (some more shabby, some more chic). I started out with mostly white pieces and some black. I now offer 7 different colors and will add more soon. All of my handmade home decor is one of a kind which I think makes it special - I really love everything I make.

A few years ago, shortly after our daughter was born, we began searching for something we could do together to earn some extra money to help make ends meet. Our criteria was that it be more enjoyable than our day job and, being new parents, something that would be eco-friendly. Our family loved good candles, how they could change the atmosphere of a room with there light and fragrance. The down side was that a good candle cost a lot of money, and they tended to emit a puff of black smoke and leave black residue around the glass. In researching why candles do this we discovered that a typical candle is made from paraffin wax, which is a petroleum based product. We also learned that there are other types of wax available that are made from natural sources, are healthier, better for the environment, and cost less. And so began our candle making. We made our first batch of candles using soy wax, and gave them to family and friends. The feedback we received was great, and soon we were selling them around our neighborhood and at work. People loved the quality, price, and how cleanly they burned. We have spent the past few years improving our product and technique, changing from soy wax to an even more eco-friendly palm wax.
